Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry
Teeth whitening is a procedure done to lighten the color of your teeth and remove stains. You can have it done at Khizer Dental Practice.
Teeth whitening is most often done using peroxide-based bleaching agents.
Why should I have Teeth Whitening Treatments ?
PROCEDURE:
First gums are protected by placing a barrier paste over them.
Then a bleaching product is painted onto your teeth and left for 20-30 mins.
Session is repeated if required.
What is the procedure?
Teeth whitening isn't permanent. It can last from a few months to up to 3 years – it varies from person to person.
The whitening effect won't last as long if you smoke or drink red wine, tea or coffee, which can all stain your teeth.
There's a chance your teeth will be sensitive to the chemicals used in teeth whitening, particularly if you already have sensitive teeth.
But we, at Khizer Dental Practice, have a management protocol in place to ease this sensitivity by using different desensitization agents.
